Gov. Espino and Gen. Razon lead Pangasinan Pistay Dayat shoot fest

LINGAYEN – Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. and PNP Chief Avelino I. Razon, Jr. will lead the ceremonial shot in the opening day of the PMA Masigasig Class ’72 Governor’s Cup Shootfest on May 2 to 4 at the PNP Firing Range in Lingayen.

An influx of gunshooters from Metro Manila and other provinces are expected to troop to Pangasinan to join local shooters in Governor’s Cup which is one of the highlights of this year’s Pangasinan Pistay Dayat 2008.

P/Supt. Harris R. Fama, head of secretariat, said that the registration which is open to all interested parties, will be held on May 2 starting 7 o’clock until 8 o’clock in the morning with registration fee of P1,000.

Fama added that the event is a fund raising project of Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr., where the proceeds will be allocated to the refurbishing of the provincial PNP.

There will be various categories for individual and the open competition such as .45 pistol category, 9 mm category and shotgun category.

Law enforcers coming from the PNP, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) will have a chance to show their marksmanship in gun shooting during the competitions.

Awarding ceremony is set on May 4, 5 o’clock in the afternoon at the Pangasinan PPO Firing Range.
